GVS offers short and long term rental space in three Vale based buildings
Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) supports community and charitable organisations operating in the Vale of Glamorgan and manages three buildings which have space available to rent. The buildings based in Llantwit Major are CF61 (hourly rental) or Illtud House (office space rental) and in Penarth we have St Pauls (hourly rental) with all spaces affordably priced.

St Brides Major community comes together to celebrate rare butterfly
To help celebrate Wales Nature Week and the high brown fritillary butterfly which is now only found in one place in Wales – the Vale of Glamorgan – Butterfly Conservation teamed up with Ewenny Pottery and The Fox, St Brides Major and the 1st community butterfly sculpture competition was born!
Barry Amateur Swimming Club compete in the Cardiff Bay Sprint Meet
Barry Amateur Swimming Club (BASC) hosted, with the support of City of Cardiff Swimming Club, the Cardiff Bay Sprint Meet on Saturday 6th July 2024. Two Cups are presented to swimmers (a boy or a girl) who wins the most points over all four individual stroke races.

It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to retire from CAVRA. Over the past month, alongside the other trustees, I have worked diligently to find an organisation that shares the same values and interests as CAVRA.
