Vale of Glamorgan Council Corporate Plan 2025-30 -  Engagement event 18th July 2024

We are writing to extend a warm invitation to you to join us at a drop-in session on the 18th July between 2-6pm in Dunraven Room, Civic Offices, Holton Road, Barry, CF63 4RU to discuss the development of our Council’s new Corporate Plan 2025-30.

This drop-in session will be an opportunity to talk with us about the new plan and will run from 2-6pm (and you can drop in for as long as you like during that time). It will also be an opportunity to chat with us about our performance as a council over the past year and how that is informing future activity.

The Corporate Plan is our most important strategic document as it sets out the key areas of focus for the next five years, our priorities, key activities and the outcomes we’d like to see achieved.

We are at the early stages of developing this work and are keen to involve our partners and other organisations across the Vale in gaining your ideas for the key outcomes we should be looking to deliver over the coming years.

As part of the engagement on the new Plan we want to talk about our proposed new objectives. We’ve developed our draft objectives looking at the results of our recent residents survey and a range of other information about the Vale, our communities and local services.  We know that our new plan will have a strong emphasis on partnership working and we are keen to talk with you about the emerging ideas.

Our 2025-30 Plan will set out new Well-being Objectives which will provide a framework for activity over the coming years and beyond.  We understand that what we do now will impact on what the future will look like.

We will be out and about over the summer months at a range of events talking to the public about our new plan. In the Autumn we will undertake a programme of formal consultation on the draft plan ahead of a final version being published in April 2025.

Our vision is strong communities with a bright future and our new Plan will set out the next stage in that journey and how the Council will continue to work in partnership to deliver for the Vale.

We look forward to seeing you on the 18th and to hearing your views as to how we can focus on the people and places and deliver that vision. Please let us know if you are attending by emailing consultation@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk. If you are unable to attend, but would welcome the opportunity to share your thoughts, please also let us know.
