Retirement of Ivor Davies as Chairman and dissolution of CAVRA

It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to retire from CAVRA. Over the past month, alongside the other trustees, I have worked diligently to find an organisation that shares the same values and interests as CAVRA.

We have engaged with SARA, but unfortunately, after consulting with their board, they are not in a position to continue our legacy. Having explored all avenues, the trustees and I have made the difficult decision to close CAVRA by the end of July 2024. All assets of CAVRA will be donated to NILA, who will distribute them to independent lifeboat stations in need of equipment.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks for your unwavering support and dedication to CAVRA over the years. I will arrange a final meeting to "wind-up" CAVRA and resolve any outstanding issues in due course.

I wish you all the best for the future.

Yours sincerely,

Ivor
