Celtic Capability Sailing is a registered charity and Sailability site that provides sailing opportunities for disabled, vulnerable and disadvantaged people but we just don’t have enough volunteers to meet demand.

Sight Cymru is starting a new support group at Penarth Library from January 2024 and is actively seeking a volunteer to support this group for two hours, once a month. Cowbridge Sight Impairment group is seeking new members for this group.

South Wales Aviation Museum based in St Athan is proud to announce that they have achieved another prestigious award as best Third Sector Organisation at the Vale of Glamorgan Business Awards 2023.  We at South Wales Aviation Museum are always on the lookout for new volunteers to join our team.

Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) is hosting The Big Volunteering Fayre on Wednesday 24th January 2024 at the Memo Arts Centre in Barry from 10am to 2.00pm.  The annual Fayre is the biggest volunteering event in the Vale of Glamorgan. It’s the ideal opportunity for charities, community groups, projects and clubs to showcase their work and recruit volunteers. At the Fayre you will be able to talk first-hand to members of the public of all ages, who express an interest in volunteering.  

The main focus of the project is to get those most vulnerable out and about in the community using public transport which will improve self esteem and quality of life.

Restore the Thaw Landscape is an exciting new project which will deliver biodiversity improvements in the catchment area of the River Thaw in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Volunteering is unique to every individual, whether it is to build confidence, gain experience, help others, improve health and wellbeing, enhance a CV or to meet new people; it can truly be a powerful tool. 

Carers Wales are currently recruiting volunteer Community Champions.  As a Community Champion, you will help connect carers to valuable support and information by distributing Carers Wales materials (leaflets, factsheets, posters) across your local community, and host information stands in community spaces. Raising awareness across your community, will help us to reach more unpaid carers in Wales and make them aware of the support and services available to them.
