Join our Trustee Board

Motion Control Dance is looking for people with passion, energy and commitment to join our Trustee Board, to help drive the organisation forward, and is also looking to recruit a Chair.

Based in the Vale of Glamorgan, we believe that dance has the ability to enrich people's lives.  We lead classes and projects with people of all ages and abilities in a range of settings, including schools, village halls and community centres, and we also create performances with our participants for community events. 

We would particularly welcome applications to become board members from people with knowledge and experience in the following areas:

• Dance, ideally as an artist, producer or teacher

• Income generation and fundraising

• Legal

• Health

• Education

• Disability

• Marketing

Our Chair and board members have a vital role in the setting and achieving of Motion Control Dance ambitions. The Board of trustees meets four times a year. The Chair is expected to attend performances, meet regularly with the Chief Executive and Artistic Director, and represent the Company in support of fundraising and advocacy. The expected time commitment is one day per month.

Expenses reimbursed: Travel expenses are reimbursed.
Training provided: Full training is provided.
Selection procedure: Informal discussion, application form completion 2 references and a disclosure and barring check (cost met by organisation).
