Celtic Capability Sailing charity's future in jeopardy unless volunteers are found immediately

Celtic Capability Sailing is a registered charity and Sailability site that provides sailing opportunities for disabled, vulnerable and disadvantaged people but we just don’t have enough volunteers to meet demand. Director of Operations, Abi Phillips, said:

‘Our guest sailors give us amazing feedback, telling us about the positive impact sailing has on their wellbeing and how enjoyable it is to experience something new with their friends and family. They tell us it’s exhilarating, liberating, fun, and at times, life changing. But when we can’t get them on the water, it’s as disappointing for us as it is for them.

We’d love to never turn anyone away again. So, we’re running a huge recruitment campaign to make sure we have all the skills and time we need to keep our fabulous clients on the water all summer long.

We have a huge variety of roles to fill so if you’re great on social media or love meeting new people or have a skill for organising events, or just want to see how we can use the skills you have, please come along to one of our recruitment events detailed below. We’d love to meet you! Help us to make a massive impact on people’s lives. We promise you, it’ll impact yours just as much.’

The recruitments events are being held at Asda Cardiff Bay Community Room, Saturday 21st October, 11am to 1pm and Craft Republic, Goodsheds Barry, Wednesday 25th October, 6pm to 7pm.

Follow Celtic Capability Sailing on Facebook, Instagram and X (Formerly Twitter) for more news.

If you have any questions about the volunteering roles, cannot make the events above but would like to volunteer, please contact the charity immediately by e-mail: celticcapabilitysailing@gmail.com
