What is micro-volunteering?

We’ve created easy to access, low commitment volunteering opportunities full of possibilities for volunteers and for Young Lives vs Cancer. These are opportunities that allow volunteers to donate their time and skills in a way that works for them, all in support of children and young people with cancer.

It does not require regular commitment, just action when and where you choose, with minimum formality, training and induction, involving specific actions that are quick to start and complete.

It can take place in your local community or at home from your mobile or laptop.  We have a huge range of opportunities such as:

  • Christmas card writing

  • Bucket collections

  • Tin donation placement

  • Spokesperson

  • Popping up posters

  • Researching a project

Or it may be something we have not thought up yet and you might have ideas of your own that you would like to share.

We are here ready to listen and help find you the right opportunity.

Time commitment:  Very flexible.
Expenses reimbursed:
Out of pocket expenses are reimbursed.
Training provided:
Full training is provided.
Selection procedure:
Informal discussion, application form completion and 2 references.
