At Home Instead we run our yearly campaign “Be a Santa to a Senior” to help gather donated gifts from shops and the general public and distribute them to our local elderly and lonely residents.

We are thrilled that the Lantern Parade is back to turn on the Christmas lights in Llantwit Major again this year. The crowd will gather at CF61 on the 27th of November, for a 6pm start. Then the Parade will proceed through Llantwit with their lanterns, turning on the Christmas lights as they go.

Run by Llantwit Major Events Group, the fair promises to be bigger and longer than last year. The event will take place on Saturday 27th November from 10am to 6pm, it’s free admission and will include more stalls and fairground rides for smaller children, as well as a stage with entertainment promised all day

Voices Action Change (VAC) is a fast-paced project on behalf of the Cardiff and Vale Area Planning Board to ensure people who use substance misuse services and their families are involved at the heart of how services are designed, run and reviewed.

Bro Radio, the local radio station for the Vale of Glamorgan has announced two open-days for its studios within CF61 in Llantwit Major.

Home Instead Cardiff has partnered with Re-Engage to run a variety of activity sessions for the over 75s across the Vale.

The Friends of St. Augustine’s are up and running again and starting their new programme of events with a quiz entitled “So you think you know Penarth” on Thursday, 23rd September at 7.00pm for 7.30pm in the Parish hall, Albert Road, Penarth.

The Eden Project are holding a virtual Community Camp this October. Thanks to National Lottery players anybody who cares about their community and wants to do more to support their local area in their own time could be eligible for this fully funded opportunity!

Home Instead have partnered with Re-Engage and we are proud to launch our new monthly activity groups for people over the age of 75 in the Vale of Glamorgan, on Wednesday 8th September.

Cancer Research UK are pleased to report that we have some exciting events starting in 4 weeks time Wales which will be running to the end of October.

FOREST BATHING will be held on the first  Sunday of each month at 10.30am at Cwm Talwg Local Nature Reserve. Meet at the entrance to the wood opposite the Cwm Talwg Pub, Severn Avenue Barry. 

We are very happy to announce that a mobile refill shop will be parked up outside of CF61 on a weekly basis, to serve the people of Llantwit.
