Friends of St. Augustine's Autumn events
The Friends of St. Augustine’s are up and running again and starting their new programme of events with a quiz entitled “So you think you know Penarth” on Thursday, 23rd September at 7.00pm for 7.30pm in the Parish hall, Albert Road, Penarth. The cost will be £2.00 on the door (members of the Friends free) including a glass of wine or soft drink-donations welcome.
Further evening talks have been planned for the Autumn season. “The Scandalous History of Penarth’s Parsons” with local historian Chris Riley on Thursday 30th September; “Penarth and Local Myths” with Alan Thorne on 14th October; “Maps of Penarth and further afield” with map collector Chris Higley on Thursday 28th October and “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner” with Richard Parry and musicians on Thursday 11th November. All these sessions will start at 7.00pm and will be held also in the Parish hall, Albert Road, Penarth but for the last one which will be at the church.
