Llantwit Major Lantern Parade is back!

We are thrilled that the Lantern Parade is back to turn on the Christmas lights in Llantwit Major again this year. The crowd will gather at CF61 on the 27th of November, for a 6pm start. Then the Parade will proceed through Llantwit with their lanterns, turning on the Christmas lights as they go.

The organisers - Llantwit Major Christmas Committee - have also been running workshops at CF61 to create the lanterns, and there is still space on some of the 21st of November workshops. To book please visit Eventbrite https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/lantern-workshop-tickets-200945091177 There is a cost of £6 per lantern which is payable at the time of booking. The workshops are available to all, the very young, the young at heart, and everybody in between.

Then on the evening, everyone is welcome to join in the parade to bring Christmas to Llantwit - lantern or no lantern, workshop or home-made, this is a community event for everyone.

Toni Marley of Llantwit Major Christmas Committee says:

“We are so glad to be back with the Lantern Parade this year after a tough Christmas last year. The Parade did so well two years ago but we hope to be back even bigger this year, so please come down and walk with us as we bring Christmas to Llantwit.”

Why not come down early for the Christmas Fair at CF61, and then round off a festive day with the Lantern Parade? See you on the 27th!
