Cardiff and District RAYNET will be attending the Barry Scout and Guide fete on Saturday 2nd July. The purpose of the visit is to raise awareness of the services RAYNET can provide to the community.

The event will happen on Saturday the 25th of June, 7 to 9.30pm, at GVS’ Llantwit Community Centre - CF61. Tickets Cost £8 for adults, £5 for under 11s, £6 for concessions

The biggest voluntary sector event of its kind in Wales. With over 70 FREE different masterclasses, panel debates and workshops taking place over the course of the week, there’s something for everyone.

As part of the Cowork Local Project, the three-day Festival will run from 21 - 23 June and sees venues open their doors to coworking, whilst showcasing local role models with a series of lunchtime talks from founders such as Chloe & Jeff Smith from Big Moose and Hannah Williams from Tiny Rebel.

Volunteers’ Week 1 June - 7 June is a time to say thanks. It goes without saying that volunteers have played a key role in the pandemic response. This is a time for us to come together and thank all volunteers for their invaluable contributions.

We are keen to help as many people with a dementia diagnosis along with their family and carers as possible. These sessions are free but we would ask for people to register their interest in attending first. We look forward to meeting new people soon.

That’s why I’m writing to you today, to invite you to take part in The Big Plastic Count – the UK’s biggest ever investigation into household plastic waste. It kicks off next month and all you’ll have to do is count your plastic waste for one week, from 16 to 22 May. I’ll be joining in – will you?

The Young Persons Guarantee aims to give everyone under 25 the offer of support into work, education, training, or self-employment. The guarantee was set to ensure no lost generation across Wales due to the predicted economic downturn and the huge rise in unemployment as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and Brexit.

The first event Barry Amateur Radio Society (BARS) is hosting a radio and electronics “table top sale” and on the same day our special event “Radio team” will be on letting children send their names in Morse Code.
