Funding is available for a youth volunteering project or activity in the Vale
Glamorgan Voluntary Services is delighted to announce that applications are now open for the 2023/24 Youth Led Grant fund. The grant can fund youth volunteering projects and activities that take place in the Vale of Glamorgan up to a maximum of £1500.

Coetiroedd Bach / Tiny Forests in Wales is a new grant scheme as part of the National Forest programme. We are offering smaller grants of between £10k and £40K for sites (up to £250k for multiple sites) that adhere to Tiny Forest principles.
Agile Cymru Funding
Agile Cymru funding can support a wide range of activity; the focus is on the outcome and benefit for Wales.
Road Safety Trust - Small Grants Programme
Up to £30,000 for projects that improve road safety at a local level.
Racial Equity Fund
This programme is for small local charities and community interest companies (CICs) with an income between £25,000 - £500,000 working with people who have faced inequity because of their race or ethnicity. Organisations can apply for a three year unrestricted grant of £75,000.
National Influencing Programme
Charities and CICs seeking to influence and achieve change in national policy and practice around specific issues within accommodation, social security, and refugees and asylum seeker support can apply for grants of £30,000 - £150,000.
Shared Prosperity Fund and Strong Communities Grant Briefing

Unpaid Carers “Short Breaks” Grant Scheme 2022/23 deadline for applications extended
The Cardiff and Vale Regional Partnership Board in partnership with Cardiff Third Sector Council (C3SC) and Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) have allocated £283,800 in total, to support unpaid carers with short breaks from their caring role. The Fund is administered by C3SC in partnership with GVS. The programme is open for applications from 20th February 2023 with a deadline for submission of 31st March 2023.
Shared Prosperity Fund Now Open
The Vale of Glamorgan Council has been allocated a total of £14m to invest over three years from the Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF). The SPF is funded until March 2025. This fund is allocated by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Strong Communities Grant Open
The Strong Communities Grant Fund offers grants of up to £25,000 towards the cost of initiatives within the Vale of Glamorgan that help to support the Council’s vision of “Strong Communities with a bright future”.
Welsh Water Community Fund
The Community Fund is a chance for communities to boost fundraising efforts for good causes in their area. If you live in an area where work is taking place you could receive funding from Welsh Water up to a value of £1,000.
Breakfast Club Grants Programme
Kellogg’s has teamed up with Forever Manchester to award grants of £1,000 to school Breakfast Clubs, to help them provide breakfast to those children who need it most.
