These FREE, one-hour webinars give attendees the opportunity to reflect on their own situation and consider future needs, and provide helpful signposting and information on work, wellbeing and finances that will allow them to make informed choices, become more confident and resilient, and take action to create a positive future for themselves.

Are you an unpaid carer, looking after someone who lives in the Vale of Glamorgan? Vale of Glamorgan Council Carers Services are holding an event for unpaid carers on 30 March 2023 at Barry Memorial Hall between 1pm and 6pm

Sight Cymru are a charity that provide services to those with sight loss. Our services include clubs and groups, wellbeing services, IT support and much more. We have three clubs that meet within the Vale of Glamorgan to help support those with sight loss on a weekly basis.

Tickets: £15 per person (booking fee applies). Ticket price includes Tea & Cake.

The event in Fontygary Leisure Centre on the 14th February 11am – 1pm will be a warm space for everyone to come along, have a free warm drink, connect with one another and find out more about the local support available, particularly for older people.

The purpose of the event will be to promote employment opportunities where the Welsh Language is essential or desirable, and training through the medium of Welsh. The event will help us to identify local needs and plan for future Welsh medium provision.

Life limiting illness feel the need to escape from the four walls of your home for a few hours. We meet every Thursday between 11.00 am and 1400 hrs.

Tuesday, 7th February, 10am-3:15pm. TPAS Cymru is hosting an insightful and topical one-day online conference covering all things Net Zero and creating low carbon communities. The full day is currently FREE for community volunteers and social housing tenants and reasonably priced for others

These events will bring people together to develop fresh ideas to tackle the effects of the Cost of Living crisis and other social challenges.

Come and join Art4U to celebrate the first stirrings of spring and the lengthening of the days at the Knap Lake and Gardens, Barry, 5p.m, Friday 3nd February.

The sessions will run from 10.30 until 12 on Tuesdays in The Duke of Wellington Ballroom. Each session costs £5 on the door or book and pay for six sessions in advance at the cost of only five. Any carer accompanying a paying member can attend for free.

Responsible business network Business in the Community Cymru in partnership with Age Cymru are delivering the Age at Work Wales programme to support over 50s to remain in or return to work to continue to earn, develop skills and stay connected.

Age Connects Cardiff and Vale are holding their first fund raising Fayre since Pandemic. It will be held at Golau Caredig on Wednesday 30th November opens 10am to 12 30pm The event will be opened by Jane Hutt MS and is FREE

The concert is on Sunday, 11th December at 3pm in St John’s Church, tickets are £10 and include festive refreshments (no charge for children under 18).  There will also be a grand raffle for £1 a ticket.  The audience will also have the opportunity to air their voices with some well-known and well-loved carols.
