Free Mid-Career Review webinars for the Over 50s living in Wales
These FREE, one-hour webinars give attendees the opportunity to reflect on their own situation and consider future needs, and provide helpful signposting and information on work, wellbeing and finances that will allow them to make informed choices, become more confident and resilient, and take action to create a positive future for themselves.
Child Poverty – We Want to Hear Your Thoughts
GVS would like to talk to parents, carers and organisations that work with children and young people. We would like to get your views on what the revised Welsh Government’s Child Poverty Strategy should include.
If you would like to share your experiences and thoughts come along give your point of view. Your views will be forwarded to Welsh Government and will help shape the future. Light refreshments will be provided.

Sight Cymru operating three support clubs in the Vale of Glamorgan
Sight Cymru are a charity that provide services to those with sight loss. Our services include clubs and groups, wellbeing services, IT support and much more. We have three clubs that meet within the Vale of Glamorgan to help support those with sight loss on a weekly basis.

Running a Befriending Service in Wales

Welsh Speakers’ Employability and Learning Event
Wednesday 15 February 10-1pm, Barry Library
The purpose of the event will be to promote employment opportunities where the Welsh Language is essential or desirable, and training through the medium of Welsh. The event will help us to identify local needs and plan for future Welsh medium provision.

Creating Sustainable Communities for a Net Zero Future event
Tuesday, 7th February, 10am-3:15pm. TPAS Cymru is hosting an insightful and topical one-day online conference covering all things Net Zero and creating low carbon communities. The full day is currently FREE for community volunteers and social housing tenants and reasonably priced for others

With Music In Mind are excited to launch a new gentle exercise and social group for older people in Cowbridge
The sessions will run from 10.30 until 12 on Tuesdays in The Duke of Wellington Ballroom. Each session costs £5 on the door or book and pay for six sessions in advance at the cost of only five. Any carer accompanying a paying member can attend for free.

Age Connects Cardiff and Vale are holding their first fund raising Fayre since Pandemic. It will be held at Golau Caredig on Wednesday 30th November opens 10am to 12 30pm The event will be opened by Jane Hutt MS and is FREE
Join Barry Community Choir’s first Christmas Concert since 2019
The concert is on Sunday, 11th December at 3pm in St John’s Church, tickets are £10 and include festive refreshments (no charge for children under 18). There will also be a grand raffle for £1 a ticket. The audience will also have the opportunity to air their voices with some well-known and well-loved carols.
