Introducing Karen from the Cyfle Cymru Project in Cardiff and the Vale

I am the peer mentor on the Cyfle Cymru project for Cardiff and The Vale. We currently support people 16 plus who are out of work and education and looking to benefit from support around substance use and mental health and help them get back into a place where they feel they can achieve goals and get back into work. I have noted down below the things we can offer:

  • One to One support from a peer mentor for the local area

  • Support around substance use

  • Support around mental health

  • Wellbeing events / volunteering events

  • Advocacy, advice and guidance

  • Online courses to upskill

  • CV support

  • Help in their recovery and wellbeing

  • Interview skills

  • Employment support and up to 6 months in work employment support

  • Support to get into further education

  • Support with PIP claims and further benefit applications

  • Link in with agencies such as JCP, Housing, Probation, CAVDAS and much more.

If you feel you require any further information or would like to meet up to have a chat about how we can work together moving forward please reach out as it would be great to support individuals with co-production and multi-agency working.
