Vale local Voluntary Sector organisations encouraged to nominate representatives for the Voluntary Sector Joint Liaison Committee
GVS facilitates the involvement of the Voluntary Sector on this Committee. Four vacancies have arisen for Voluntary Sector Representatives. Nominations are invited from Voluntary Sector Organisations working in the Vale of Glamorgan.
Completed nomination forms should be returned to GVS by midday, Friday, 17th March 2023.

Our dedicated Governance Officer is able to support with everything from choosing the right structure, writing a constitution, developing policies, registering a charity and much more.

The offices are warm and quiet, fully accessible and offers kitchen facilities. Our spaces can accommodate anywhere between one and ten people. Utilities and guest Wi-Fi are both included within the cost with prices starting from £444.00 per calendar month.

Attend our dazzling Winter Craft Fayre at St Pauls in Penarth
Saturday 12th November between 12 noon and 4pm promises to be a memorable day in Penarth when St Paul’s Community Centre opens its doors to the public for a unique Winter Craft Fayre. This year's Conference and Annual General Meeting will be our first "in person" event since 2019. Our confirmed speakers include Jane Hutt MS, Minister for Social Justice, Rosaleen Moriarty-Simmonds OBE, High Sheriff of South Glamorgan and Suzanne Rankin, Chief Executive of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

We know that rising costs are a concern for our members and communities. We’d like to hear your thoughts on how the rising cost of living and fuel are impacting on you - our members - and the people you are there to support.
Do you need funding for a youth volunteering project or activity?
The Youth Led Grants Panel are delighted to announce that applications are now open for 2022/23 Youth Led Grant fund. The fund is a grant for youth volunteering projects and activities that take place in the Vale of Glamorgan. The Panel will be awarding grants of up to £1500 over the next few months.
GVS hosts an event
GVS, in partnership with the Vale of Glamorgan Council, hosted an event on Wednesday, 13th July focussing on the Shared Prosperity Fund. Over 120 registered for the event and it was the largest online audience we’ve ever had.

GVS in partnership with The Vale of Glamorgan Council invites you to a discussion about the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and what this means for the Vale of Glamorgan. As one of the key investment priorities is ‘Community and Place’ this would be a great opportunity to discuss how our voluntary sector in the Vale can utilise this fund to deliver some great outcomes over the next three years.
