Volunteer Grounds and Handy Person

Cardiff and Vale Scouts support 52 Scout Groups across Cardiff and Vale. As a volunteer aged 18+, you will support the building managers at a number of sites to ensure the buildings and grounds are safe for our young people to use and developed for future.  Ground tasking will include:

  • Grass cutting

  • Hedge trimming

  • Weeding and rubbish collection of grounds

  • Painting of railings and walls

  • Inside works will including minor repairs, painting, cleaning

Cardiff and Vale Scouts also manage a campsite in Peterston Super-Ely which provides additional opportunities for work to be carried out such as hedge trimming and general maintenance.

Time commitment: Days and hours are negotiable with the organisation.
Training: Full training will be provided.
Expenses reimbursed: Out of pocket expenses are reimbursed.
Selection procedure: Informal discussion, application form completion, 2 references and a disclosure and barring check (cost met by organisation).
