Why join us?

If you’re looking for a new challenge, you have experience working with animals in a professional setting, and you’d like to make a real difference in your local community, we would love to hear from you.

Amelia Trust is a charity supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable young people. Based in the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan, we aim to encourage everyone to enjoy spending time outside. Animals play a key role in the work we do with young people and are very popular with our visitors.

About the Role

We are looking to recruit two people as paid Animal Care Leads.

One role will work 28 hours per week on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, 9am – 4.30pm. The other role is a temporary role as maternity cover to work 21 hours per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9am – 4.30pm. More information about job specifics and benefits can be found in the job profile below.

With experience of delivering animal care in a work setting, we need someone who will clean animal accommodation and carry out animal health care checks.

As part of your role, you’ll work in our lovely countryside environment and spend time chatting to visitors about our animals.
