Going Green Together

Going Green Together is new partnership project between SVC and Innovate Trust, bringing together volunteers and adults with additional needs to work together on environmentally-friendly activities. Activities will take place both in-person and online.
The outdoor activities will take place in various locations across Cardiff, The Vale, and Rhondda Cynon Taff (RCT).
The educational workshops and Environmental Committee meetings will take place online.
There will be three main roles for you to choose from:

1.      Volunteering at outdoor activities

2.      Volunteering to research and deliver online educational workshops

3.      Volunteering on the newly-established Environmental Committee (EC) at SVC.

Volunteers can select more than one of these roles, depending on availability.

PPE will be provided - e.g. face coverings, gloves, hand sanitiser, wipes for shared equipment

Time commitment: Flexible – each role will have differing time commitments, ranging from one-off opportunities to regular volunteering. This will also depend if you only want to attend the activities themselves, or help with planning and organising.
Expenses reimbursed: Reasonable travel expenses are reimbursed.
Training provided: Full induction and training is provided. Also support from lead volunteers.
Selection procedures: An informal discussion, application form completion, 2 references and a disclosure and barring check (cost met by organisation).
