Family and Friends Peer Support
Our Family & Friends Peer Support groups provide a safe, welcoming space for those supporting loved ones in recovery. As a volunteer, you’ll guide conversations, offer emotional support, and help family members and friends find comfort and connection during their own journey.
What You’ll Do:
Facilitate group discussions for loved ones of individuals in recovery
Provide a listening ear and share helpful resources
Encourage self-care and offer practical advice on supporting someone in recovery
Who We’re Looking For:
Volunteers with personal experience supporting someone in recovery or who understand its impact on families and friends
Compassionate, empathetic individuals with good communication skills

Supporting someone in recovery can be challenging, and many loved ones feel alone. Your role will make a real difference in helping families and friends feel empowered and connected.

Expenses reimbursed: Travel expenses are reimbursed.
Training provided: Full training is provided.
Selection procedure: Informal discussion, application form completion, 2 references and a disclosure and barring check (cost met by organisation).
