RedSTART Support Facilitator Volunteer

Children as young as six are more anxious about money because of the pandemic.  We give them the tools and skills to build positive financial habits and a more secure financial future. You must be aged 18+ for this opportunity.

You will:

  • Support the lead facilitator in delivery of Red START financial education workshops to primary school children from 5 – 11

  • Undertake a 45 minute online or in person training session

  • Undertake online safeguarding training prior to volunteering

  • Agree to a DBS check prior to volunteering

Become a volunteer and:

  • Boost your skills

  • Help children prepare for their futures

  • Create new networks for yourself

No previous experience is required; but energy, enthusiasm and an interest in teaching primary school children about basic financial concepts are essential.

These workshops take place in various schools in both Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Time commitment:
A suggested time commitment is that volunteers complete 1 workshop.  It is not necessarily weekly volunteering, you can sign up to as many workshops as you like.
Expenses reimbursed: Travel expenses are reimbursed.
Training:  Full training is provided.
Selection procedure: An informal discussion, application form, 2 references and a disclosure and barring check (cost met by organisation).
