(Cymru Versus Arthritis) - supporting groups/activities in your local community

Cymru Versus Arthritis is here to make sure that people with arthritis in Wales have the support and information they need to live well with their condition.
Our service team is passionate about providing high quality support and you will play a pivotal role in helping us to deliver all aspects of our services in your community.

This role will involve supporting groups/activities in your local community. These provide opportunities for people with arthritis to access emotional, wellbeing and practical support or activities in a way that is informative and fun.

The role is flexible, and the type of duties volunteers undertake can differ over time but include supporting other volunteers’ leaders in organising meetings, activities, information and community events.
You will be part of promoting our services and engaging with new attendees, providing a welcoming, friendly, supportive, and informative space for people with arthritis.

Recruitment is by application, followed by an informal interview / discussion. References will be requested. A DBS is NOT required for this role.

Time commitment: Versus Arthritis groups meet on a regular basis therefore a commitment of 1 to 3 hours per week would be appreciated in this role. However, being a lead volunteer is flexible and should fit around your existing commitments.
Training provided: Full training is provided as well as induction.
Expenses reimbursed: Travel expenses are reimbursed.
Selection procedure: Informal discussion, application form completion and 2 references.
