An update regarding pressures on maternity services

Our Health Board continues to face extreme pressures across services which includes maternity. In July, the Health Board unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to suspend home birthing services until October 2022 to alleviate workforce pressures in hospital midwifery settings. Home birthing services remain temporarily suspended, but the team are committed to doing their best to re-establish a home birthing service as soon as possible.

Vale of Glamorgan Council Consultation – Annual Delivery Plan 2023-24

The Council is consulting on its draft Annual Delivery Plan for 2023-24. The draft Annual Delivery Plan sets out the actions we will undertake in 2023-24 as part of the delivery of the Council’s Corporate Plan for 2020 – 25. The Corporate Plan sets our priorities for a five year period whilst the draft Annual Delivery Plan details what we will take forward in 2023-24. The closing date for comments is the 8th January 2023.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council re-signs the Armed Forces Covenant

The Vale of Glamorgan Council is committed to supporting the Armed Forces community. To demonstrate its allegiance, Deputy Leader of the Council, Councillor Bronwen Brooks re-signed the Armed Forces Covenant alongside Brigadier Dawes, Mayor of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Susan Lloyd-Selby and Armed Forces Liaison Officer, Abigail Warburton, at Mansion House on Monday 14 November.
