Voluntary Sector Joint Liaison Committee (VSJLC) Information Sheet launched for the Vale of Glamorgan’s local Third Sector

Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS), the County Voluntary Council for the Vale of Glamorgan, has today announced the launch of a new information sheet designed to provide clarity and understanding for the local Third Sector regarding the Vale of Glamorgan Voluntary Sector Joint Liaison Committee (VSJLC).

The information sheet details the purpose, objectives, and benefits of the VSJLC, highlighting its crucial role as a forum for communication and collaboration between the voluntary sector and the Vale of Glamorgan Council. It outlines how the committee facilitates strategic dialogue, partnership working, policy influence, and information sharing, ultimately strengthening the voice and impact of the Third Sector within the region.

"We recognise the vital role the Voluntary Sector Joint Liaison Committee plays in ensuring effective partnership working between the Third Sector and the Local Authority in the Vale of Glamorgan," said Clive Curtis, Operational Manager at GVS. "This new information sheet is a valuable resource for local voluntary and community organisations, providing them with a clear understanding of how the VSJLC operates and how they can engage with it to ensure their voices are heard and their contributions are recognised. We encourage all Third Sector organisations in the Vale to utilise this resource."
