Volunteer with Vale for Africa
Based in the Vale of Glamorgan, Vale for Africa works in partnership with Advancement for Community Empowerment in Tororo, ACET, to improve healthcare and education through the development and funding of appropriate projects and support.
The charity does not employ any staff and relies on trustees and other volunteers to carry out executive responsibilities.
We are looking for a Volunteer Chair, Treasurer and Volunteer Trustees.
Volunteer Chair: The Chair, as well as helping to plan and chair trustee meetings, may be the link between trustees and volunteers, and represent the charity at appropriate events.
Volunteer Treasurer: The Treasurer will ensure that proper accounts are kept and help set financial and any investment policies.
Volunteer Trustees: Trustees will contribute actively to the Board of Trustee’s role in providing clear strategic direction to the organisation, setting overall policy, defining objectives, and setting targets and evaluating performance.
Time commitment: Time commitment is variable for each opportunity and negotiable with the organisation.
Training: Full training will be provided.
Expenses reimbursed: Negotiable with the organisation
