Volunteer Treasurer

We are looking for a Volunteer Treasurer who will be responsible for maintaining accounts for the society and its sub-groups.  Tasks will include to:

  • Maintain the accounts for the Society and, where relevant, its sub-groups

  • Produce brief financial reports for the executive committee monthly meetings

  • Produce end of year accounts as required by the Charity Commission

  • Produce end of year accounts for the Annual General Meeting

  • Attend monthly meetings

Desirable skills would be:
Experience of keeping accounts
Experience of committee working
Knowledge of the town is NOT required, although useful, as you will soon learn

Time commitment: A suggested time commitment is 3 hours per week variable but to include evening meetings
Expenses reimbursed: Reasonable travel expenses are reimbursed.
Training provided: Induction and training are provided.
Selection procedures: An informal discussion, application form completion and 2 references.
