Volunteer - School Zone @ Parc

School Zone @ Parc is a new and unique service based at HMP Parc.  The fundamental purpose of the service is to identify and encourage those dads who wish to remain connected with their child’s education during their custodial sentence and after release.  The volunteer role will assist the Co-ordinator in promoting the service throughout the wider establishment, assessing referrals and delivering information and support to those taking part.  It is an exciting opportunity and a chance to make a real difference to the children and families involved. 

Time commitment: A few hours weekly; negotiable with the organisation.
Expenses reimbursed: Travel expenses are reimbursed.
Training provided: Full training is provided.
Selection procedures: An informal discussion, application form completion, 2 references, a disclosure and barring check (cost met by organisation) and a Home Office check.
