Volunteer Minibus Drivers needed

East Vale Community Transport have two wheelchair-friendly minibuses and need more volunteers to give their time to drive them. If you could spare the odd morning, afternoon or evening to help people get out of their home for a bit you will be most welcome. We are in urgent need of volunteers.

You will need:

  • A clean driving licence with a D1 certificate allowing you to drive a minibus.  If you got your licence after 1997 or are over 70 years of age, you would need to apply for D1. We can help you to obtain D1 if necessary

  • To be between 25 and 69 (for insurance purposes)

For 35 years Penarth-based charity, East Vale Community Transport, has been ensuring that those without access to transport can continue to lead active lives.

Time commitment: The time commitment is negotiable with the organisation.
Expenses reimbursed: Travel expenses are reimbursed.
Training: Full training is provided.
Selection procedure: An informal discussion, application form completion, 2 references and a disclosure and barring check (cost met by organisation).
