Delivering library books to housebound readers

Volunteers aged 25+ are required to deliver library books to housebound readers.  Based at one of our libraries in the Vale, you will, with the support of library staff, select and deliver books to our housebound readers.

Skills required: Clean driving licence, physically fit (involves carrying), interest in books and reading, sympathetic manner.

Time commitment: A suggested time commitment is 4 hours per week, hours and days are negotiable.
Expenses reimbursed: Travel expenses are reimbursed, car mileage at 45p per mile.
Training:  Full training is provided.
Selection procedures: An informal discussion, references and a disclosure and barring check (cost met by organisation) will be required.
