Volunteer Group Co-ordinators and Drivers needed

We will soon be starting new Monthly Classes in Barry Memorial Hall and are looking for Group Co-ordinators for this urgently.

Our 'Active Together Groups' aim to get over 75's re-engaged with their communities while taking part in light activity.  As you can imagine these monthly outings are the highlight of the month for many of our older guests and, for some, it is the only time they leave their house for a social occasion.

We are looking for motivated, organised volunteers to help as Group Co-ordinators.

As a Group Co-ordinator you will set up or co-ordinate an ‘Active Together’ group in your local area. Activities can vary from chair fitness, dancing, yoga and boules to gardening, tai-chi or coming up with your own activity to get people moving. Groups will meet for around 2 hours every month and activities must be inclusive for all guests.

We are also looking for Volunteer Drivers.  As a volunteer driver you will be picking up older people from their homes and returning them home safely on a monthly basis.  We welcome drivers with four door cars, a full driving licence, an MOT and insurance.

Time commitment: Days and times for the class to be confirmed.
Training: Full training will be provided.
Expenses reimbursed: Unfortunately we are unable to reimburse out of pocket expenses.
Selection procedure: Informal discussion, application form completion, 2 references and a disclosure and barring check (cost met by organisation).
If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact us using the form below.
