Supporting Victims of Domestic Abuse
Befriending: The aim here is to develop and promote a positive relationship with a matched service user for visits or to support them to partake in activities in the community. Support Worker: Role is to work with the key worker to provide support and to represent the organisation to families for any relevant issues relating to Domestic Abuse and its effect.
Time commitment: A suggested time commitment is 3 hours per week, negotiable with the organisation.
Expenses reimbursed: Out of pocket expenses are reimbursed.
Training provided: Induction and training are provided.
Selection procedures: An informal discussion, application form completion, 2 references and a disclosure and barring check (cost met by organisation).
