A great new opportunity has arisen to join our busy and high performing Finance Team, as our Finance Officer (Accounts Payable).

Newydd Housing Association is a charitable housing association, that offers nearly 3,000 affordable homes for rent and sale to people where need is at its greatest in Mid and South Wales, working in several local authority areas.
About the role
As Finance Officer AP you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of purchase and sales invoices, liaising with external contractors and suppliers, by keeping accurate and up to date accounting records from which reliable reports, accounts and returns can be prepared. You will also prepare monthly payroll and pension calculations and provide cover for other team members when required.
About you
You will have a foundation certificate in accounting and business (equivalent of AAT level 3) or equivalent experience would be considered, with experience of working in a busy finance department. A basic payroll qualification is desirable but not essential, for this role along with experience of Housing Association finance and credit control processes.
The Finance Officer AP position is a busy, varied, and challenging role. You must be able to prioritise tasks and have an organised and methodical approach. You should have proven experience of administering a purchase invoice process alongside a good working knowledge of MS Office Applications, accounting software, and finance and payroll systems and procedures.
