Motion Control Dance Seeks Passionate Trustees

Motion Control Dance is now actively recruiting volunteers to join its Board of Trustees and is welcoming applications from candidates from all backgrounds. Applications are particularly sought from those with expertise and a background in the following priority areas: finance and accounting, fundraising, HR, marketing, arts industry.  

Motion Control Dance is the Vale of Glamorgan’s only community dance charity in the Vale of Glamorgan. Since 2000 the company has been running workshops and dance classes for children, teenagers and vulnerable adults. Working with professional dance practitioners, through movement, participants gain significant life, social and communication skills with measurable health and wellbeing benefits. They stage regular performances, often in prestigious performing arts venues and ambitious and highly skilled dancers are supported through professional progression pathways. We were shown on Strictly Come Dancing to promote Children in Need and were awarded the Best Inclusive Services Award by ThinkEdi in 2024. 

The charity also delivers professional training for education, dance, health and business clients regionally, and provides sessions for people with Parkinson's, dementia and a range of complex learning disabilities.
