MHA Community Matters
MHA communities have representation on the Compassionate Penarth steering group.
The steering group is passionate about residents of Penarth and surrounding areas being more in-formed and comfortable talking about end of life, death, dying, and grief and have the support of the Vale of Glamorgan council. We continue work on our strategy and work plans which will include information on local support, awareness raising talks and events, and to invite local partners to tell us about their services or ask a question.
MHA communities is running a Warm space during November, December & January every Friday 10.30-2.30 at Belle Vue Community Centre, Albert Road, we are the first on the left as you come into the building, come in for a chat, cuppa and information and advice, these sessions are provided with the support of the Vale of Glamorgan.
We also continue to run our Friday Friendships Group for older people/over 55’s and our Out and About Wednesday group, we recognise that the darker nights and the lead up to Christmas can be a challenging time for people experiencing loneliness or isolation or who just want to get more active, socialise and make new friends or reconnect with old friends, contact us for further information:
