Love the Vale - 15th November 2023

If you didn't hear about Love the Vale Day in 2023, it’s our new annual event at Bro Radio where we hand over the entire radio station to our community. It gives local businesses, organisations, charities, political leaders and individuals the opportunity to share their work, the challenges their facing and how local people can support them in the lead up to Christmas.

2022 saw over 100 messages go out on air, which we hope to top this year around! I'm emailing you to invite you to be part of the day, but also to ask if you can share this with your contacts to make this day an even bigger success.

How you can be part of Love the Vale Day 2023

To take part, you simply need to record an audio message of no more than 90 seconds via whatsapp or your smart phones audio recording software. In your message, you can share information about your work, the challenges, offers, fundraising campaigns, what you're doing in the lead up to Christmas or anything in between. It's completely free to take part and we'll even let you choose a song to follow!

To help you out, we've put together a little template. For each recording submitted, you'll become a radio presenter - so we'd like everyone to start with something like:

“Hi I'm (Insert name) from (insert business/organisation) and you're listening to Love the Vale Day on Bro Radio”

This middle bit is your opportunity to promote your business, organisation or personal cause. It's your chance to be honest about how the current situation is impacting you, as well as what you are doing currently or in the lead up to Christmas.

Once you've finished end with something like;

“Thank you for listening and my song choice for Love The Vale day is (insert song name)”

Submissions are required no later than 5pm on Tuesday 14th November 2023. Submission can be sent on email to production@broradio.fm or on WhatsApp to 01446318007.
