Job vacancy – Co-ordinator for East Vale Community Transport - Part-time

 East Vale Community Transport is a small Penarth-based charity supplying accessible transport for all in the east of the Vale of Glamorgan. We have two wheelchair-friendly minibuses operated by volunteer drivers, providing a door-to-door service for shopping, social events etc. The charity is managed by its trustees with the assistance of the Co-ordinator who is responsible for the day-to-day running of our business.

The Co-ordinator will work with our users and volunteer drivers to schedule trips, keep records, and monitor income and spending to help our Treasurer to maintain accounts. They will also oversee the maintenance of the buses, ensuring that we observe health and safety regulations, and organise and record management meetings. There is a need for good computer skills, and an ability to use social media and keep our website updated.

The work is varied and it is satisfying to help people enjoy the world outside their home.

Start date: 4 January 2022

Pay:           £11.50 ph

Hours:        15 per week, flexible timing with presence in the office for a minimum of 8 hours per week
