Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) Launches New Fact Sheet Demystifying Social Value for the Third Sector

Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) is excited to announce the launch of a new, comprehensive fact sheet designed to help third sector organisations across Wales, particularly in the Vale of Glamorgan, understand and demonstrate their social value.

The fact sheet aims to clarify the concept of social value, explain its importance, and provide practical guidance on how organisations can measure and articulate their impact.

"Social value is increasingly important for third sector organisations," says Clive Curtis, Operational Manager at GVS. "It's about demonstrating the positive difference we make to our communities, beyond just financial measures. This new fact sheet will help organisations in the Vale of Glamorgan and across Wales to effectively communicate their value to funders, partners, and the public."

The fact sheet covers key topics, including:

  • What social value is and why it matters

  • The benefits of social value

  • Implementing social value

"We recognise that many organisations in the Vale of Glamorgan are already delivering incredible social value," adds Clive Curtis. "This resource is designed to help them articulate that value more effectively and strengthen their ability to secure resources and build partnerships."

GVS encourages all third sector organisations in Wales to download the fact sheet.
