Glamorgan Voluntary Services gets animated!

GVS to launch its first animated information film for people thinking about volunteering. Developed by Video Production and Animation Studio Yolk Creative, GVS will be promoting the film in the run-up to Volunteers Week from 1- 7 June 2021.

The film, available in both Welsh and English, sees the journey someone would take when they are thinking of volunteering in their community and what they can expect, along with a host of useful information on volunteering.

Paul Warren, Operations Manager at GVS said: “As we build upon the fantastic volunteering experienced in the different communities of the Vale of Glamorgan during lockdown last year, it felt like a natural step to create a film that would introduce more people to volunteering. The film is filled with imaginative and creative information and also has a very charming visual style. We’re looking forward to introducing it to potential volunteers during Volunteers Week, and to show the information we give to people in this new way”.

Volunteers Week is a special week earmarked to thank volunteers for all that they bring to their local communities, and this year Volunteers’ Week feels more important than ever. The national week runs from the 1 – 7 June and Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) will be providing opportunities to help organisations that involve volunteers to say thank you.
