Garden and Patient Support Volunteer

We are looking for people from all walks of life to come and join the volunteering team in the latest Horatio's Garden at the spinal centre at the University Hospital in Llandough.   If you have time to spare whether it's during the week or weekends we would love to have you help us. We hope to open the garden in October, so straight away you could be involved in the planting that is needed, even working alongside its designer, Sarah Price and our newly appointed Head Gardener. Then ongoing garden maintenance activities will need to be carried out under the guidance of the Head Gardener.

Once the garden is open to patients there will be roles on offer to support patients to enjoy the garden and to assist them in the gentle therapeutic activities we offer alongside the clinical teams. Or you could simply ensure that the tea and cake is served to all those wishing to partake.
