Funding Opportunity: Improving access to food in the Vale of Glamorgan

Over the next 3 weeks groups and organisations across the Vale of Glamorgan are encouraged to complete a short application form to apply for funding to support activities and services working to improve access to food.

This grant fund is designed to assist groups and organisations whose work is helping to tackle food insecurity and improve access to healthy affordable food in the Vale of Glamorgan. In addition to projects tackling root causes of food insecurity, applications are encouraged from food projects that contribute to wider community resilience, examples could include but are not limited to local food growing activities, and skills development.

This funding has been provided by Welsh Government and will be managed by the Vale of Glamorgan Council, in partnership with Food Vale.

Please note both revenue and capital funding is available. Organisations are recommended to apply for a maximum of £2,500 revenue and a maximum of £5,000 capital to be spent by 31st March 2025. However, if you have a particularly innovative project that would require funding above the suggested maximum amount we’d encourage you to still apply and these applications will also be considered. There is no minimum amount.

If you would like to submit an application for funding please complete the application form here.

The deadline for applications will be Sunday 14th July 2024.
