Dinas Powys sheltered housing residents in need of help to improve its community garden

Dinas Powys residents living in Fairoaks, a sheltered housing scheme for people who are of the older generation some who need a little extra care, have been trying to get funding and or donation’s to enhance their community garden.

We are delighted to say that we have had a response from a fantastic company not even based in the Vale of Glamorgan. The firm of Fornham Timber Ltd Bury St Edmunds have kindly donated 20 various sized planter`s for the garden and have been delivered free of charge. We are seeking donations to help fill them with both plants and earth.

All the residents are thankful to a Mr Charlie Boseley of the above firm for his kindness and generosity. We are hoping that other firm`s more local will also help out. Getting grants can be quite daunting and takes a lot of paperwork so to those people who volunteer their help whether with  monetary gifts, equipment or just free labour we thank you. We are hoping to have help with building a pergola and enlarging our fishpond which needs a fair amount done to it.

If anyone wishes to help us out in some way my email address is   patmcq1954@outlook.com

Thank you for and on behalf of the residents Fairoaks
