Day Support Volunteer

The Support Volunteer aged 18+ will support staff with a group of adults with learning disabilities, both within our centre and out in the community.

You would be to support the service users in a range of learning and leisure activities such as:

  • Catering

  • Horticulture

  • Computer courses

  • Art and crafts

  • Office skills

  • Sports and leisure activities

  • Personal and social education

  • Life skills – improving life skills & self confidence

Time commitment: A suggested time commitment is 3 - 6 hours per week, Monday – Friday, days and hours are fully negotiable with the organisation. We also run Saturday workshops for those looking for weekend volunteer opportunities.
Expenses reimbursed: Travel expenses are reimbursed.
Training: Induction and training is provided.
Selection procedures: An informal discussion, application form completion, 2 references and a disclosure and barring check (cost met by organisation).
