Amelia Trust Farm Celebrating Volunteering

Organisation: Amelia Trust Farm: Director – Karen Turnbull

Amelia Trust Farm is a Care Farm and registered charity supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable young people. As well as providing an alternative education programme called the GROW programme, Amelia Trust is a visitor attraction that’s home to over 20 different species of animals, and a large woodland.

Our volunteers help to keep Amelia Trust looking wonderful for our visitors. From maintaining woodland paths and signs, to tending to the plants and flowers, and helping during event days, our volunteers are invaluable. Some of our volunteers have been at the Farm for almost 30 years and have been involved from the very beginning. For others, volunteering has been a way to learn new skills and gain valuable experience in preparation for work.

For many of our volunteers, Amelia Trust is a special place where they can socialise, spend time in the fresh air, and contribute to the local community. All of our volunteers are key members of the Amelia Trust family and play a large role in the day-to-day life at our Care Farm.

As well as helping yourself, you can also help others whilst Volunteering. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us using the form below.
