Advance Notice of Annual General Meeting and Nomination to Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) Board of Trustees
The GVS 2023 GVS Annual General Meeting will be held “in person” at St. Paul’s Community Centre, Arcot Street, Penarth, CF64 1EU on Wednesday, 25th October at 10.00am finishing by 12noon followed by a light buffet lunch. Further details on how to register will be sent a little later but this is to give you notice so that you can save the date.
If you are a member of GVS your organisation is entitled to nominate a candidate for election to our Board of Trustees. As stated in our governing document, at least two-thirds of the Board members are to be nominated by the GVS membership. The remainder will be recruited via open competition.
Elections will take place at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 25th October 2023. In addition to the nomination procedure, individuals can also apply direct to become Board Members by open competition.
It is important that GVS is representative of the diversity and variety of voluntary action in the Vale of Glamorgan, both through its membership and on its Board of Trustees. To this end we would urge you to take this opportunity of participating in the management of GVS by nominating a representative of your organisation to join the GVS Board.

All completed forms should be returned to GVS by midday, 29th September 2023.
If you wish to apply by open competition, please send in a formal letter of application outlining your skills, knowledge and experience and why you wish to be considered as a Board Member of GVS. Letters of application should be sent to enquiries@gvs.wales by midday 29th September 2023.
Please note that incomplete forms or copies received after the deadline will not be accepted.
Those wishing to apply by open competition will be invited to attend an interview at a mutually agreeable time and date. GVS is keen that members participate actively in its work and you are encouraged to play a full part in this process.
