1 – 5 November is Trustees’ Week

An annual event to showcase the work that volunteers do within an organisation and also a time to provide opportunities for everyone to get involved and make a difference.

Becoming a Trustee is a rewarding way to help your community and also a way to learn a range of new skills. It's an energising and dynamic role, which puts you at the very heart of charity and its work.

Here are some interesting statistics about trustees:

  • There are around 700,000 trustees in England and Wales

  • 93% of trustees say the role is important or very import to them

  • 70% of trustees volunteer for smaller charities

  • The estimated value of trustees time is $3.5 billion a year
