You are invited to our Health and Wellbeing Fayre
Are you looking for new and exciting ways to be more active in the Vale of Glamorgan? Come along to our Health and Wellbeing Fayre!
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is delighted to invite you to our Health and Wellbeing Fayre, organised in partnership with Race Equality First and Keeping Me Well, to help you find out how you can improve your health and wellbeing.
The Health and Wellbeing Fayre will be held on Tuesday, 16th May at Barry Memorial Hall from 10am to 5pm.
Everybody is welcome to drop in, grab a free drink and find out more about the exciting ways you can become more active in the Vale of Glamorgan. Entry is completely free and the first 50 visitors will receive a free gift.
A range of partners will be holding exciting stalls including Down to Earth Health Meadow, ESCAPE Pain, Zumba with Tracey Raikes and With Music in Mind.
There will also be a series of exciting workshops taking place throughout the day to give you a taste of the different local activities on offer, including:
GP-led Menopause and Activity information session
Instructor-led Nordic Walking session (poles provided)
Instructor-led seated Zumba
With Music in Mind workshop
Dietician-led Healthy Eating on a Budget

Liz Willey, a physiotherapist at Cardiff and Vale UHB who is organising the event, said: “Being active regularly will look different for all and our Health and Wellbeing Fayre is a brilliant opportunity for you to find out way.
“You will be able to talk to local people who already use local services and groups and find out how their quality of life has improved and how you can make small steps to improve your health and wellbeing. Being active regularly is a brilliant and often free way to improve our physical and mental health.”
The Health and Wellbeing Fayre is being held in partnership with Race Equality First and is supported by Keeping Me Well.
Keeping Me Well is Cardiff and Vale UHB’s health and wellbeing website designed by clinicians and service users from across the region. The information on this website will help support your health and wellbeing — whether you are preparing for treatment, recovering from treatment, managing a long-term condition or looking to live a healthier and more active lifestyle.
