Raising funds - research into Fibromyalgia

We are looking for friendly volunteers aged 15+ to provide support within the shop. We raise funds that go into research into fibromyalgia and pain management of the illness.

This is a super friendly shop

Our shop based in Barry would like volunteers to help with a variety of tasks such as:

Shop Volunteer - Running the shop, our volunteers will be involved with:

  • Organising the stock – size area

  • Till work, will be given training

  • Keeping shop area tidy

  • Putting new stock out on racks etc.

  • Dealing with customers’ needs

  • Dealing with Wish packets – training given

The sorting of the donations

  • To help sort the donations

  • To put in appropriate areas

  • To sort and removal of items that are damaged/unclean

  • To take stock to the shop when required

  • To inform the trustees of any problems

The stock gets sorted out in the backroom where volunteers can sit on sofas whilst sorting.

Volunteering with us will enable you to meet new people, gain new skills and boost your confidence.

Time commitment:  A suggested time commitment is a few hours per week, flexible and negotiable with the organisation.
Training provided: Full training is provided.
Selection procedure: An informal discussion, application form completion and 1 reference.
