Welcome to the 2024 Project SEARCH student intake

Last week Cardiff and Vale UHB welcomed the new intake of students through the Project SEARCH pre-employment programme.

Nine students have joined the health board - five full time and four part time - who will be working in a range of areas across the health board over the next year to gain skills and experience.

Departments they will be working in include cellular pathology, housekeeping, medical records, and education, culture and organisational development.

Project SEARCH is a unique pre-employment programme which helps young people with learning disabilities gain the knowledge and skills they need to get meaningful paid jobs.

It is a transition to work programme for young people between 16 – 24 years of age, working in collaboration with both councils and local schools to deliver the project.

Welcome to the new Project Search intake and we wish you all the best during your time with Cardiff and Vale UHB.
