Volunteers making a difference in Llantwit Major

Students from UWC Atlantic College recently joined our volunteers at CF61 in Llantwit Major to help with our new raised vegetable beds. They cleared, prepared and levelled the ground before adding the two raised beds made out of old pallets which they filled before planting.  Two Community Police Officers also joined us and they helped with the digging and preparing of an area ready to turn into a rockery which will be planted with a mixture of coloured heathers. Our talented volunteers have also built a book exchange in the children’s area where they can pick a book and sit in our tree stump area.  It was a great afternoon and the sun was shining too!  If you would like more information on our gardening project please email cath@gvs.wales
