Volunteer in our Charity Shop

There are a broad range of Charity shops within the Vale of Glamorgan; all looking for volunteers to help out. Some will take on volunteers as young as 15, others will be aged 18+

You can help in a variety of ways, such as:

• Sorting through donated items

• Prepare items for sale by checking, hanging, steaming, sizing and pricing them

• Working on window and shop displays

• Interacting with the general public

• Keeping the shop tidy, clean and well organised

• Operating the till 

By volunteering within a charity shop you can:

• Gain retail experience

• Boost your confidence

• Meet new people

• Utilise your existing skills, share them with the team, and learn new ones

Time commitment: A suggested weekly time commitment can be 2 – 3 hours and some have lots of flexibility too.
Training: Full training will be provided.
Expenses reimbursed: Out of pocket expenses are reimbursed.
Selection procedure: Informal discussion, application form completion, 2 references.
