Volunteer at Cardiff Dogs Trust

Canine Care Assistants aged 18+ are at the heart of volunteering here at Cardiff Dogs Trust!

Their main aim is to support the Canine Carers to ensure the welfare of dogs in our care whilst they wait for their forever homes.

They ensure our kennels are clean, maintained and suitably furnished with cosy blankets and bedding. They provide essential exercise and enrichment activities, spending hands on time with the dogs.
Please note, we cannot offer work experience in relation to veterinary practice.

You can gain hands on experience in a kennel environment.

Volunteers must be passionate about dogs, dog welfare and experience of handling them is preferable.
A good level of physical fitness is required.

Time commitment: Days and hours are negotiable with the organisation.
Training: Full training will be provided.
Expenses reimbursed: Out of pocket expenses can be reimbursed.
Selection procedure: Informal discussion, application form completion, 2 references.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact us using the form below.
